Berlin Demo is just an unfinished idea I did with Omid of Beneath The Surface fame...around 2007...it's one we probably should have finished but some things just never make it out of the egg. At times this melody taunts me, though, even to this day.

This month Sole & The Skyrider Band have blessed us with some really cool live recordings of their performance live at De Kreun in Belgium in 2010

Listening to these performances has brought me back to the PLASTIQUE era which was a big game changer for Fake Four. We poured a lot of effort and love into that release & I remember how the indie rap world was violently changing before our eyes. Sole was clashing with the anticon label he founded around this time behind the scenes - none of that made this campaign easier. We went hard as we could to spread the word and I'm proud of what came out of it. Pissing in the Wind musically embodies Sole's frustration at the time.

Sometimes you come across an artist that is compelled to do what they do. I appreciate the musicality and the arrangement and the artistry of the songs. He sings and plays like his life depends on it. I appreciate the humanity of the lyrics… Like reading Tortilla Flats, or watching Nobody’s Fool. Ceschi is a bright star.
