Handshakes for the fallen artists C'est la vie Mon chéri Dearly Departed Hollywood Holiday It's a popular person parade Throw the unused parts to the dogs Quit telling yourself you're underrated You should have caught the mistakes before you made them Nobody wants creativity, please it's a dog eat dog world and you're not part of the pedigree Absolutely ! You Belong in the world of art Absolutely ! Thank the lord for the drugs & cake Keep your fingers crossed and pray like hell that one day we will find charm in you What a cute little thing, your whole career What a tiny quirky thing From the womb to the dirt, you never were anything in the eyes of your superiors, some people are just born into it, others follow in the footsteps of greatness Absolutely ! You Belong in the world of art Absolutely ! We believe in equality You're a bitter little baby, there's plenty to go around Finders keepers, losers weepers anybody can take off your crown no more whining about how we wined you and dined you and fattened you up for the feast of failure if it is your destiny it will find you The ball was in your court but you deflated it, of course you weren't ready for the big leagues big money backstabbing buddies big bully bombarding And when you wound up dead we bought the rights to your box set published your suicide note gave Rolling Stone quotes from the bottom of our throats Absolutely ! You Belong to the world of art Absolutely ! He was one of the greatest to ever live

Pray for me on the internet Pray for me on the internet Danger is Imminent Ask me if I’m “ok” yet Maybe won’t be ok till death River rat check bet Tarot card reading's covered in swords SOS distress Will there ever come a time ? Will there ever come a time When I’m not lying when I say “I’m fine” Will there ever come a time When the sun shines as bright as Sublime cross my spine ? Rita Marley was shot in the skull Didn’t lose her life Why’ve I lost mine?
Why did my ship capsize? over 35 feeling sorry for myself blubbering cries Not a lot of life left I guess Pray for me on the internet Pray for me on the internet

Atlantic City eats me whole as I pass its freeway exit teeth showing lollipops and pussy behind concrete curtains this monster somehow made me Born with post industrial asthma in an Ivy League hospital Foodstamps to nibble nipples or government cheddar from Reagan I slightly remember army barracks and wonder how we fit A Chinese takeout restaurant Michael Jackson jackets Mother's bicycle basket holding children's records from the library That's New Jersey for me Not 5 hour Newark turnpike traffic Papi's Princeton heroin withdrawal That shitty Six Flags safari The Menendez twin murderers or Atlantic City

about

January 2022 Fouragers Club exclusive demos

Some notes by Pepper:
"Don't Care" - Looking back, I'd have to say this is probably my darkest song ever. Written after a bad stretch in 2015, it dives deep into nihilism and barrenness. Although it was later re-recorded for Black Metal Demo Tape in 2017, this early piano version captures something that eluded the sludgy grunge version.

"Dying Idea". - Damn, I've never heard this before. Guess I sent Ces the stems for the demo version and then forgot. I do remember recording these vocals through a hard monotone auto-tuner and then dubbing it to analog and manipulating the melody on a pitch wheel to achieve that warbly HAL 9000 vibe.
